Privacy Policy

Last updated: October 1, 2026

This policy explains what personal data YourCollections (“we”, “the service”) collects when you use the website your-collections.live and the web app app.your-collections.live, why we collect it and what choices you have. Questions: [email protected].

1. What we collect

  • Account data: your email address, your first and last name (if you add them), your picture (if you upload one), your interface language and your password in hashed form. If you sign in with Google or Facebook, we receive your name, email address and the account identifier from that provider.
  • Content you add: collections, items, fields and their values, photos and files, and the people you share a collection with (their email addresses).
  • Activity inside the service: the history of changes made in a collection (who changed what and when) and your notification settings.
  • Technical data: IP address, browser type and the time of a request in server logs; sign-in tokens and your language kept in your browser’s local storage.
  • Analytics (only if you accept): with your consent we use Google Analytics 4 on this website to count visits and clicks. Without your consent no analytics code is loaded.

2. Why we use it

  • to provide the service: to keep your account, show your collections and let you share them (performance of a contract);
  • to send emails that you need: confirmation of your email, password reset, and notices that a collection was shared with you or that your access changed;
  • to keep the service secure and to fix errors (legitimate interest);
  • to understand how the website is used and to improve it (your consent).

3. Who we share it with

We do not sell your data. We use these providers to run the service, and they process data on our behalf:

  • Google Firebase Hosting and Cloudflare — to serve the website and the app;
  • Microsoft Azure — to store your photos and files;
  • Mailjet — to send emails;
  • Google and Meta — if you choose to sign in with Google or Facebook; Google Analytics — only if you accept analytics cookies.

People you invite to a collection can see the content of that collection and the name and email of the people who have access to it.

4. Cookies and local storage

The service stores your sign-in tokens and language in your browser’s local storage; this is necessary for it to work. Analytics cookies are optional and are set only after you press “Accept”. You can change your choice at any time with “Cookie settings” in the footer.

5. How long we keep it

We keep your data while your account exists. When you delete your account (see “Delete my data”), we delete your account, collections, items and files; backups are overwritten within 30 days. Server logs are kept for a limited time for security.

6. Your rights

You can ask us to give you a copy of your data, to correct it, to delete it, to restrict or object to its use, and to withdraw your consent at any time. Write to [email protected]. You also have the right to complain to your data protection authority.

7. Security

We use encrypted connections (HTTPS), hashed passwords and access checks on every request. No system is perfectly secure, so please use a strong, unique password.

8. Children

The service is not intended for children under 16, and we do not knowingly collect their data.

9. Changes

If we change this policy, we will publish the new version here and update the date at the top. If the change is important, we will also tell you in the app or by email.
